This policy covers the Notivo smart pen, the dot-pattern notebook, the Notivo app, and Evo, Notivo’s AI layer. It applies to anyone who uses the app or joins the waitlist on this site.

What you write. The pen captures your handwritten pages as you write them. We also keep the text, summaries, and actions Evo produces from those pages once you’ve enabled it.

Account information. The email address and any other details you give us when you join the waitlist or create an account.

Device and usage information. Basic technical data — app version, device type, general usage patterns — that helps us fix bugs and understand which features are actually used.

Payment information. If you subscribe to Evo, payment is handled by our payment processor directly; we don’t store your card details ourselves.

Pages are processed on the pen and in the app before anything syncs elsewhere. Evo’s classification and drafting happens as part of that pipeline, on your notes, to produce the summaries and actions described on this site.

Anything that would reach another person — a calendar invite, a message, an email — holds for five minutes and waits for your approval before it sends. Nothing leaves on Notivo’s own initiative.

To provide the core product: syncing your pages, running search, and powering Evo’s summaries and actions. To maintain and improve Notivo — fixing bugs, understanding usage, building what people actually ask for. To communicate with you about your account, the waitlist, or support requests you send us. We don’t use your handwritten notes to build advertising profiles, and we don’t sell them.

We don’t sell your notes or your personal information. We share data only: with service providers who help us run Notivo (cloud hosting, payment processing) under contracts that limit what they can do with it; with the specific people or services you direct an action to (a calendar invite you approved going to your calendar provider, for instance); or if we’re legally required to.

You can export your notes at any time. You can delete your account and your data whenever you want, without waiting on us. If you delete your account, we remove your notes from active systems; backups age out on their own schedule.

We use standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise it’s unbreakable — but we treat your handwriting as sensitive, personal content, because it is.

Notivo isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

We’ll update this page as the product changes and update the date at the top once we do. For material changes, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
