Terms
This is a draft of our terms of service, written ahead of launch so you know what to expect. It hasn’t had a final legal review yet — the version that goes live will be checked and may be refined before Notivo ships, and we’ll post the effective date here once it is.
Agreement
By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or using the Notivo pen, notebook, or app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Notivo.
The service
Notivo is a smart pen and dot-pattern notebook that capture your handwriting, paired with an app that syncs, searches, and organizes your pages. Evo is an optional, paid AI layer on top: it classifies what you write and drafts actions — calendar events, summaries, and the like — which you review and approve before anything is sent anywhere.
Accounts
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your account credentials secure. Let us know if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
Subscriptions and payment
The pen and notebook are a one-time purchase. The free app covers capture and search. Evo is billed as a subscription, monthly or annually — pricing will be announced before launch. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active through the period you’ve already paid for.
Your content
Your handwritten pages and the notes, summaries, and actions derived from them are yours. You grant Notivo the license needed to store, process, and sync that content so the product can actually work — nothing more. We don’t claim ownership of what you write.
Acceptable use
Use Notivo for its intended purpose. Don’t try to reverse-engineer the hardware or software, interfere with the service, or use it for anything unlawful or for content you don’t have the right to capture and process.
Third-party services
Some actions Evo drafts connect to services you choose to link, like a calendar provider. Using those integrations means you’re also subject to that provider’s own terms — Notivo isn’t responsible for how a third-party service behaves once your approved action reaches it.
Disclaimers
Notivo is provided as it exists at any given time. We work to keep handwriting recognition and Evo’s classification accurate, but we can’t guarantee either will be error-free, and you should review anything Evo drafts before approving it — which is exactly why that approval step exists.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Notivo isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited.
Termination
You can stop using Notivo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page as the product changes and update the date at the top once we do. For material changes, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
